The Puffins Tea Party

I was honored to be commissioned by a gorgeous and charming family from California for their Childrens’ Playroom. The family was drawn to The Puffins: The First Date, below, that was sold to a collector in Singapore earlier this year. Armed with creative freedom, I decided to cast the family as Puffins at a Tea Party, against a backdrop of the Northern lights.

We decided to include the pets to complete the ‘family portrait’.
Cookie Jar using sugar and a coat of resin.
Mommy joins in on the Tea Party perched on a luscious purple forest gateau with white chocolate swirls.
The cupcake was formed by piping acrylic above liners. A sprinkle of rainbow nonpareils added a whimsical finish.
For the luxe cream scones, I applied hand-painted lace and fabric.
